HEAVENLY MOUNTAIN RESORT KEY TALKING POINTS

Looking Forward:

  • Boulder Lift and Lodge in now open, however Ski & Ride School out of Boulder is still on hold until conditions permit opening. Natural snow or cold temperatures are still needed to build a functional base around the magic carpet area.
  • We are approaching another dry weather pattern this week, keep message positive with current snow conditions. Remind guests of other activities going on around the resort, i.e., TAP - free craft beer tasting from 3-4 p.m., Unbuckle at Tamarack Lodge, the DJ CAT at East Peak Lodge and our new rooftop bar at California Lodge, LAT 38 (Fri/Sat only) - now open!

 

Terrain:

  • Heavenly is open top-to-bottom with 70 runs and 22 lifts scheduled for today.
  • One park is open, Comet Pocket Park, located on the left side of Comet run.

  • Epicpass.com for holiday pass restrictions for Epic Local, Tahoe Local and Tahoe Value Pass holders. Holiday Restrictions at Vail, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, and Kirkwood. Restriction dates: 11/24-25, 12/26-31, 1/13/18, 2/17-18. Restricted passholders can still use their discounted buddy tickets to ski during this time.

 

NEW/CURRENT TERRAIN

  • Boulder Lift and Lodge are now open, see operations schedule below.
  • New runs open on the California and Nevada sides in January thus far - CA: Promenade (upper Ridge run), High Five, Woods Trail, I-5, Double Down, Lower Liz’s (off I-5), Ridge Bowl, Ellie’s Lower, Ellie’s Swing, Upper Meteor, High Roller (Left & Right) down to Woods Trail. NV: Milky Way Bowl, Upper & Lower Stagecoach, Lower Bonanza Mikey’s (lower Big Dipper), Orion’s Belt, Upper & Lower Dipper Return, Upper Bonaza to Cross Over, Upper Von Schmidt, Cloud 9, The Pines, Emily's, $100 saddle, Nova, 49er, Ponderosa (upper), Bonanza (upper), Nevada Trail from East Peak Lodge, Blue Angel 1, 2, Mombo meadow, waterfall, swing trail, Stein's way, Upper and Lower Mombo, Upper Liz's (from Ellie's swing down), Powderbowl Run, Hellwinkel's, Maggies Canyon Left, Nevada Trail Lower, Stagecoach Return, Easiest way, Boulder Bowl, Sam’s Dream.
  • Northbowl chair lift is now open.
  • Skyline Trail / California Trail connectors: Skiers and snowboarders can access the Nevada side from the California side by taking Sky chair and traversing on Skyline Trail. To return back to the California side, skiers and snowboarders can traverse via California Trail.
  • California Lodge base area gives access to some of the best learning terrain in the Tahoe Basin. Please direct guests looking for beginner terrain to the California Side where they can find 4 beginner runs.
  • Stagecoach Lodge base area has access to intermediate runs only.

 

F&B OPERATIONS - Operations schedule for each F&B location to come.

  • Heavenly Donuts, Tamarack Lodge, East Peak Lodge, Stagecoach Lodge, California Lodge, Sky Deck and Steins are open for daily operations.
  • Booyah’s at Lakeview Lodge at the top of the CA Tram is open weekends only.
  • Boulder Lodge is open as of Wed.

o   Breakfast: 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.

o   Lunch: 10:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

o   Bar: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

o   Full food menu with occasional daily specials

  • LAT 38, new rooftop bar at California Lodge, is open weekends only.

o   Menu: specialty drinks, tacos and nachos

o   Weekends: open seating with bar/food service. 3:30 p.m. - TBD, depends on level of business.

o   Weekdays: open seating with no bar/food service, however you can take your drinks and food from the indoor bar to the outside space.

o   Looking forward: Grand opening on President’s Day weekend, Saturday Feb. 17. Bistro lights and signage will be hung and small details finalized.

 

UPCOMING & NEW EXPERIENCES

  • NEW - Heavenly is now offering a winter guided UTV tour. Tours will operate on weekends and holidays only. The tour will leave from the top of the Gondola traverse to Blue Sky Terrace, stopping at points along the way to learn about Lake Tahoe and its environment, along with opportunities to snap rare breath-taking photos. The tour will be approximately 45 minutes long and cost $35 per person. Winter guided UTV Tours can ONLY be purchased at the top of the Gondola. Tours begin at 10:30 a.m.
  • Every Monday passholders are able to early load at 8:30 a.m. to score first tracks before the general public. 
  • TAP, craft beer tasting every day from 3 - 4 p.m. in front of Tamarack Lodge.
  • LAT 38, new rooftop bar at California Lodge. Open weekends only.

 

THE HEAVENLY VILLAGE
The Heavenly Village is filled with season-long activities including:

  • Premiere Shopping: Heavenly Sports, Northface, Patagonia, Oakley and The Boarding House to a name a few.
  • Activities: Ice Skating, Movie Theatre, Spa and more.
  • Live Music: Each night broadcast from Base Camp Pizza located in the Heavenly Village.
