MEET OUR 2018 EPICSERVICE WINNER | SHYLO SCHUMACHER


Shylo had two nominations throughout the season, and the second story made her a clear choice as the overall winner of the year!  

1st Nomination: On Saturday, 1/20/18, we had fresh snow and a line of cars coming up Ski Run to park in the California lot, which was at capacity. Shylo took the initiative to elevate the guest experience by going to the corner of Saddle & Wildwood to communicate to the guests in the line of cars that the lot was full and that they should turn around and park on Ski Run or at Hard Rock. Because of this, it decreased the congestion in the parking lot and prevented guest frustrations.

2nd Nomination: An employee came into the HR office looking for help the day before payday at 4:30pm because the motel that he and his young daughter were living in was raising the nightly rate heading into the weekend, and he did not have enough money to stay there. It was in the middle of a snow storm, and unless he could get a paycheck advance to cover the cost, he and his daughter would not have anywhere to stay the next night. Shylo went way out of her way to help a family in need and made sure that all of the necessary approvals were completed before the end of the day so that this employee and his daughter would have a warm place to stay.

Shylo will join other winners at the 2018 celebration hosted at Stowe Mountain. Each winner will be treated to an all-expense paid VIP Experience of a Lifetime trip. The trip includes transportation, lodging, meals, exciting adventures, activities and more. The highlight will be a special dinner with CEO Rob Katz and members of the Executive Committee.
